You can configure how much computing power you want to spend on mining through different config files.


Important: Config files will be created when you click on Start Miner for the first time and they are all located in the same folder as the miner itself.

ImportantYou need to restart (click Stop Miner and then click Start Miner) the miner in order for the changes to take effect.

Note: Our miner is based on the open source miner xmr-stak and more information about an advanced configuration can be found in the official Tuning Guide.


Processor (CPU)


The configuration for your CPU is stored in the file cpu.txt. At the bottom, you will see a config which might look similar to this:

This configuration has 6 threads which already is a lot for most CPUs. Each of the lines inside cpu_threads_conf represents one thread. You can add or remove lines to add or remove threads. More threads usually result in a higher hashrate but also make your computer slower while you mine. If you want to do other things while mining, you should try to remove some threads. A more detailed explanation can be found here.



Graphics Card - AMD (GPU)


You will only have this config file if you have an AMD graphics card. The configuration for your AMD GPU is stored in the file amd.txt. At the bottom, you will see a config which might look similar to this:

Intensity means the number of threads used to mine. Worksize is the number of threads working together to increase the miner performance. In the most cases, a worksize of 16 or 8 is optimal. You can try to increase or decrease both intensity and worksize and see how it affects your hashrate and the performance of your computer. A more detailed explanation can be found here.



Graphics Card - AMD (NVIDIA)


You will only have this config file if you have an NVIDIA graphics card. The configuration for your NVIDIA GPU is stored in the file nvidia.txt. At the bottom, you will see a config which might look similar to this:
